Volunteering at Fundraising Convention

Volunteers are critical to the success of Fundraising Convention and take on a range of varying and vital roles while most importantly being the friendly, professional face of Fundraising Convention.

What does the role entail?

  • Signposting delegates to sessions and around Fundraising Convention
  • Answering delegate enquiries
  • Disseminating literature to delegates
  • Managing session rooms
  • Supporting and liaising with speakers
  • Collating evaluations

Criteria

  • Must be an Individual member of the Institute of Fundraising
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Confidence to speak to a range of audiences
  • Engaging and friendly manner
  • Enjoy working as part of team
  • Volunteers must be available from Sunday 5 July to Wednesday 8 July 2020 (all days inclusive)

Considerations

  • Four days commitment (including a Sunday)
  • Individuals will be provided with a full induction and on-site support
  • Accommodation and all meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) provided
  • Early starts and full days public facing
  • Travel expenses are NOT covered

What are we looking for?

  • An understanding of fundraising and the sector
  • Excellent communication skills, being sociable, cheerful and courteous to all
  • Good level of fitness (extended time on your feet will be a core part of this role)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to commit to all four days (Sunday 5 to Wednesday 8 July 2020)
  • Previous voluntary experience
